Why does 20+ million gallons of storage, 500+ trucks and 575+ of the best people in the business make a difference?

We’ve just come through a period of some really cold and snowy weather. We have customers in some of our service areas with FEET of snow in their yards. We know, because we have been doing our best driving our trucks through poor road conditions and our delivery people have strained at pulling hoses through snow at times well over their waist, only to find when they get to the side of the house that the fill pipe is buried! So we’ve been “buried” too!

To add to Mother Nature’s challenges were some very difficult supply issues, especially with propane gas. The main pipeline carrying gas into the northeast experienced difficulties. This left many of our fellow propane companies and their customers short on supply. Some were completely out of gas. Griffith Energy, utilizing its vast storage and trucking network, was capable of maintaining a continuing supply into some of the hardest hit areas of New York. This is despite the fact that we needed to truck some of the gas from near Detroit, Michigan until we could get it to our own large storage facility in Stevensville, Ontario!

So one benefit of dealing with Griffith Energy is a more assured supply backed up by a trucking fleet capable of flexing to the needs of the moment.

But maybe the biggest benefit is being able to call on our people. We may not be perfect but we try to be the best at what we do! Our drivers overcome difficult weather conditions and other obstacles to make deliveries to our customers. Our technicians have spent many sleepless nights responding to customers with heating system problems. Our office personnel and night answering people have handled literally hundreds of thousands of calls. And hopefully all done with a smile!

We appreciate the trust people put in us for their energy needs and work hard every day to continue to earn that trust – and yes, sometimes wading through snow to our armpits 20, 30 or even 40 times a day!
